Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: 31 May 2026 · Effective Date: Saturday 6 June 2026

By registering for, applying to or participating in any capacity in the nmg.labs Forge Hackathon Series (hereafter "Forge" or "the Event"), you ("Participant", "Builder", "you") verifiably agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms are established by NMG Technologies ("NMG", "we", "our").

  1. Strict Delhi NCR Local Eligibility
Forge is designed exclusively as an in-person development series. You verifiably confirm that you are currently residing in, enrolled in a university within or capable of travel entirely at your own expense to the Delhi NCR region (specifically our Gurugram office) to participate in person on Sprint Day. NMG does not provide any travel reimbursement, lodging or transport support. Participants residing outside the region who cannot guarantee physical attendance will not be accommodated.
  2. Intellectual Property & Code Ownership
NMG maintains a firm "Your code, your IP" policy. You retain full intellectual property ownership, copyright and distribution rights to any software, scripts, documentation and skill packages you build during the Event. By submitting your project:
    • You grant NMG a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to write about, photograph and publish case studies, code snippets and portfolios of your build for marketing, recruitment and educational purposes.
    • You confirm your submission contains only your original creations or properly attributed open-source libraries and does not infringe upon any third-party IP rights.
  3. Educational Level Requirements
To compete in Forge, you must satisfy at least one of the following eligibility brackets:
    • Currently enrolled 3rd or 4th-year undergraduate student at a recognized Indian college or university.
    • Currently enrolled postgraduate student at a recognized Indian college or university.
    • Recent graduate within 12 months of graduation from their final academic year.
  4. Mandatory Official Build Stack
Forge Sprint 01 runs on a single official stack: Claude Code driven by an open model through Ollama, launched with ollama launch claude. The model may run on Ollama's cloud free tier or fully local on your own machine, both are free, using a tool-trained model listed in the Builder Handbook. This is the only permitted setup. Use of any hosted Anthropic API key, Claude Pro, Groq, Cerebras, Google Antigravity, Gemini, OpenAI, Cursor or any other provider or routing tool is not permitted, and submissions produced on any other stack will not be judged. Full setup instructions are published in the Builder Handbook.
  5. Registration Authenticity
Participants must supply accurate, complete and verifiable personal and academic details during registration (including real name, email, WhatsApp, university, degree and graduation year). Duplicate registrations, use of aliases or false representations of academic statuses will result in immediate and permanent disqualification from all current and future Forge cycles.
  6. Apprenticeship, Internship and Career Opportunities
The Champion (Top 1) receives a written offer for a structured paid NMG apprenticeship, internships and full-time opportunities inside the NMG Group. The positions are structured training and development roles with a performance-driven path to a permanent engineering career. Acceptance is subject to NMG's standard background verifications and compliance policies. These career track rewards are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for raw cash or cash equivalents.
  7. Disqualification Rights
NMG reserves the absolute right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any participant or reject any submission at any time if we determine that the builder has violated these terms, engaged in plagiarism, misbehaved at the venue or failed to comply with our Code of Conduct.
  8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NMG Technologies, its partners, directors, employees and sponsors shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages, losses, injuries or technical failures arising out of or in connection with your preparation for, travel to or physical participation in Forge.
  9. Privacy & Data Consent
By registering, you consent to NMG processing and storing your submitted personal details for the sole purposes of running Forge, grading submissions, communicating selections and onboarding you into the Forge alumni and developer network. Your raw data is secure and will never be shared with outside third-party companies without your explicit consent.
